i really needed a scrapbook, and got this miniscule, more-photo-album than a scrapbook. maybe i don't know sizes but i didn't think 8 by 8 would be so small. it's the size of a normal sized plate. but in a square shape of course. and the paper is not some fantastic paper. its the ones you use when doing a presentation for a project. that hard paper. i don't know, i just suspected it would be high quality, glossy paper. this scrapbook with the paper made me think, "looks like i could have put this together." if i wanted/expected something as tiny as this then i would be giving it 5 stars and say it is cute. of course i'd be expecting it to cost much less too. but i have lots of normal sized pics/clippings (from mags e.t.c) and this is no use to me. there's no way my pics can fit in this. bottom line, for so much $ i expected more. i've learned my lesson to go in a shop to buy these kinds of stuff. b/c you can't tell what you're purchasing when it's on line.

Love this album! It's really nice, both to look at and in quality. I plan on buying more once I've filled this one. I definitely recommend it.
EDIT: I've noticed people asking how many photos the album holds. Assuming I counted correctly, there are forty pages. Each page, including the front and the back, holds four photos. Hope that helps!

I ordered this Pinnacle Photo Album from Amazon.com on Thursday, June 9. I thought it to be a little pricey at $24.99, but I already have a couple of Pinnacle albums and they are of excellent quality. So, I bought this one. It arrived on Tuesday, June 14 in damaged condition, the victim of bad handling in shipping. The container was smashed on one end and the filament shipping tape torn apart.
I notified Amazon.com immediately. They immediately authorized a replacement. The only requirement was that I return the damaged album. Fair enough.
It was still Tuesday, June 14 when Amazon.com e-mailed me that a replacement was being sent and that it should arrive on Wednesday, June 15, 2011.
And so it did!!
This time, the container was in perfect condition and so was the album. I am absolutely astounded at the service Amazon.com gave me.
Amazon.com is the best.
I heartily recommend the Pinnacle 80 Page Magnetic Faux Leather Ring Bound Photo Album, Brown and Black. I also recommend that you buy it from Amazon.com.
Oh, yes. My wife also returned the damaged album via UPS on Wednesday, June 15.
