Teach Yourself Visually Digital Photography Review
I just upgraded from my simple point-and-shoot digital camera to a digital SLR, and in doing so discovered a whole new world of complexity...and potential. I decided a needed a good reference to get me off the ground quickly, so I can learn the fundamentals (at least) of more advanced photography.This book has everything I need to get going. It gives everything from the basics to more advanced topics, and presents everything in a really easy-to-grasp visual format.
This book really covers everything you're going to need to start out with. From understanding the whys and whats of ditital photography and cameras, to topics such as composition, focal length, controlling exposure, understanding light (a very important topic, and covered *really* well in this text!), to digital editing, touchup and effects. This is a great start to my photography library...
I would heartily recommend this to anyone just starting out in digital photography - whatever type of camera they're using.
